"Malabar" — the name itself ignites hundreds of taste buds.
The region holds the secrets of an extraordinary variety of food. The deep-rooted relationship between the Arab world and Malabar created a beautiful exchange of culture, tradition and especially cuisine — Arabian dishes became part of Malabar’s food culture, and Malabari flavours reached Arab homes with equal warmth.
Malabar Adukkala began as a friends’ circle. Relationships grew beyond the virtual, and this big virtual family — over 480,000 members living in India, the GCC, Europe and across the world — wanted to meet.
Today we organise food festivals, cooking competitions, cultural events and charitable social work, publish our family magazine Adukkala, and run Recipedia — a recipe library and mobile app, with Arabic volumes planned.

With the strong connection between the Arab world and Malabar in mind, I, along with my friends, founded the Malabar Adukkala Community with a simple vision — to celebrate and promote the exquisite taste of Arab cuisine among Malayalees across the world.
What began as a small initiative has grown into a vibrant community of nearly 5 lakh members globally. Through the collective passion, dedication and support of our members, we continue to preserve, share and celebrate the rich culinary heritage that unites Arab and Malabar traditions.
